The Charnwood-Dunlop School Parent and Citizen Association
Charnwood-Dunlop Primary School has an active P & C Association which contributes significantly to the life of the school. The aim of the CDS P & C Association is to improve the academic, social and emotional outcomes of all our students.
The objective of the CDS P & C Association is:
- To promote the interest of Charnwood-Dunlop Primary and Pre-School.
- To encourage the close cooperation of staff, parents, carers, students, the School Board and interested citizens in the local area.
- To receive and raise money by any appropriate practical means, to enable the aims of the CDS P & C Association to be effective.
All school parents and carers are automatically members of the CDS P & C Association and are invited to raise matters of interest through the CDS P & C Association Executive Committee. All CDS P & C Association meetings are open sessions and all are welcome to attend. A schedule of meetings for the year and minutes of meetings can be obtained by contacting the secretary via email.
The CDS P & C Association organise a range of fundraising events and social activities throughout the year. The events are scheduled at the beginning of the year and are led by the CDS P & C Association Fundraising Sub Committee. Funds raised are used to improve educational opportunities for our students.
In the past the CDS P & C Association has purchased outdoor play equipment, air conditioning, furniture, books and landscaping. We would love as many families as possible to be involved. It is a great way to get to know the school community and make new friends.
